Just racked to tank. A rich heady purple. This is much deeper and richer in dark cherry mode than the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Very striking, with a pleasing freshness at the back. Cheerful, exuberant, juicy with a drier note from good tannins. The fruit comes storming back behind, exceptionally long, morello cherry with a thread of more mineral red fruit.

Ripe and appealingly fresh aromas include a mix of various red berries and earth where the latter is also present on the surprisingly powerful middle weight flavors that offer solid depth and persistence with only a trace of finishing rusticity.
